Today I plugged my LG bd 570 blu-ray player with dlna and server capabilities that was collecting dust downstairs, it is last boxing day buy at future shop but since I also have my ps3 in my home theater I did not need two in the same room and with all the kids movies rips that we have, they had to watch it on my laptop small screen in the living room upstairs but with this player it should be a breeze....Wrong, the theater pc runs windows 7 and laptop too for that mater but for some obscure reason cannot access the pc even if all shares and permissions are set and fine with all other media devices(laptop works like a charm tough). This is not an LG problems as i figure out from lots of googling, it seems it can be a few things that cause this, first one is the ''windows live sign in assistant'' but not the case for me, anyhow i found a registry fix for every one who runs win vista and 7 pro+ultimate:
For this, you need to change the following settings in the registry of your PC:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanManS erver\
Parameters] RestrictNullSessAccess -> switch to "0"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa]
everyoneincludesanonymous -> switch to "1"
then restart first your PC, then the player, and it should work.
No prob, it's my pleasure:)
